Habranthus robustus? (green base)

Photo credit J.C. Raulston Arboretum at NC State University

Rain Lily

This bulb produces grass-like foliage and following summer rains it bursts forth with many lovely pink trumpet like flowers on tall stems. The base of the flower tube is green. This plant does not seem to spread from seed in the garden. We belive this is Habranthus robustus, a native of South America. It is a fine garden plant in the Deep South of the U.S.
