Cumberland Rosemary

Federally listed THREATENED species. CANNOT BE SOLD IN INTERSTATE COMMERCE. Low trailing evergreen shrub with aromatic Rosemary-like leaves. Other Conradina species are native to Florida and Gulf Coast of Alabama. This one is native to limited area on sandy creek banks in north-central Tennessee and adjacent Kentucky and is therefore more cold hardy. The flowers are blue purple. Plant in sandy, well-drained soil in sunny location.  This rare plant is a good rock garden subject.
