Ilex crenata 'Sky Pencil (female)'

Japanese Holly 'Sky Pencil'
This Japanese cultivar of the familiar Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata) was distributed by Sylvester March of the U.S. National Arboretum. It is a dense plant with small evergreen leaves and black berries typical of Ilex crenata but this clone is very narrow tight column befitting the name 'Sky Pencil'. Adaptable to most general garden conditions and useful as a vertical accent or in small narrow spaces.
