Dahoon Holly (male)

Dahoon Holly is an evergreen shrub or small tree with bright green oval, slightly toothed leaves and abundant small bright red berries(on female plants). Usually found in swampy conditions but grows well on ordinary garden soils that are acidic. Can be used for screen, hedge, or specimen. A very useful non-prickley evergreen holly for the South. This is the male pollinator for Ilex cassine female clones.
