This little Jasmine vine from western China has small deciduous leaves which are dull dark green and taper to a point. It develops a dense tangle of slender stems and is noteworthy for its flowers which while small are fragrant and of an unusual deep velvet-red color. It flowers in late spring. An unusual vine for a fence or arbor in sun or semi-shade.
