Rhododendron x Pastel 'Casille'

Azalea 'Casille'

'Cassile' is a spontaneous hybrid between R. alabamensis, R. canescens and R. flammeum. This azalea blooms in mid-spring with flowers that are an exciting blend of colors.  This exclusive Woodlanders' introduction was named by George Mitchell for his wife.  As with other native azaleas it is best grown in a semi-shady site such as under tall pines and where it is mulched with pine needles and the soil is acidic and well drained but where supplemental water can be applied when needed.
