This Euonymus is a deciduous or semi-evergreen shrub with lanceolate 3" long leaves arranged oposite each other on upright green stems. This woodland shrub native to eastern North America is a fine garden plant for shade or semi-shade and is favored for the scarlet seed capsules which open to reveal orange seeds which remain showy for some time in the fall. Plant in fertile, well-drained but moist soil.
