Aloysia triphylla (Lippia citriodora)

Lemon Verbena

Lemon Verbena is an aromatic deciduous shrub with small lanceolate leaves in whorls on the stems. These leaves are strongly lemon-scented.  It bears tiny white to lavender flowers in terminal clusters but while an herb garden must, it is not grown for its flowers. Plant it in a sunny but sheltered spot with good soil that is well-drained but with adequate moisture.  Lemon Verbena is native to southern South America
