Bald Cypress

Baldcypress is a long-lived large deciduous conifer charactersitic of swamps and river margins in the southern U.S. where it is a valuable timber tree, Baldcypress is broadly pyramidal when young and has feather-like leaves.  It can grow in shallow water or on upland sites (when planted there). It casts light shade and is a standby for planting in wet areas  It can however be used on upland sites and even as a street tree where there is ample space.
