Rhododendron x alabamensis 'Addison'
Azalea, Hybrid 'Addison'
'Addison' is a tall-growing, open deciduous native azalea from Rhododendron alabamense (which see) seed. It is surely a hybrid but exact parentage is unknown. It was first named 'Stunning' because that describes the large dense multi-colored terminal clusters of flowers which show shades of yellow, pink, and white. It was selected by our good friend Charles Webb in Florida. It is named for one of his young grandaughters.
