Conradina, Gray Mound
Conradina canescens is a low dense evergreen mint shrub with short, soft, needle-like leaves and white to blue-gray tubular flowers about 3/4 inch long. The plant is highly variable with respect to growth habit and foliage color. Most have gray foliage. This Woodlanders selection is low-growing, spreading, and has gray foliage. Being native to deep sandy soil, especially beach areas, on the northern Gulf Coast, it should be planted in full sun with sandy soil and good drainage.
