Rhododendron canescens 'Camilla's Blush'

Missouri Botanical Garden

Piedmont Azalea 'Camilla's Blush'

'Camilla's Blush' is a choice clone of our native deciduous azalea Rhododendron canescens (which see).  It has an abundance of soft pink fragrant flowers and is a vigorous grower when planted in well-drained sandy acid soil under high shade and mulched with pine needles.  It was selected and introduced by Jeff and Lisa Beasley of Transplant Nursery in Lavonia, Georgia and named for their eldest daughter.  We thank our "Plant Nut" friend Dean Jolly for sharing cuttings from his plant.
