Ilex x koehneana (Ilex latifolia x I. aquifolium) 'Hohman'
'Hohman' Holly is a large pyramidal evergreen with large, dark green, serrated leaves and abundant red berries. One of several hybrids between the Lusterleaf Holly (Ilex latifolia) and the English Holly (Ilex aquifolium) which have proven to be great landscape plants for the southern U.S. This clone was originated by or named for the late Henry Hohman who had the famous Kingsville Nurseries in Maryland some years ago. Plant in good soil in full sun or semi shade with adequate space and good, well-drained soil.
