Lagerstroemia fauriei x indica 'Muscogee'
Muscogee Hybrid Crepemyrtle
'Muscogee' is a free flowering hybrid crepemyrtle with lavender-pink flowers over a long period in summer. This deciduous shrub or small tree is one of many crepemyrtles developed and introduced by the U.S. National Arboretum by crossing the rare Cinnamon Bark Crepemyrtle (Lagerstroemia fauriei) with various clones of the common Crepemyrtle (L. indica). The many such introductions were given the names of Native American tribes. 'Muscogee' is a highly rated clone. As with other Crepemyrtles it should be given an open sunny location with well-drained soil.
