Osmanthus x fortunei ''San Jose''

' San Jose' Fortune's Osmanthus
This large evergreen shrub is a hybrid between Holly Osmanthus (Osmanthus heterophyllus) and Tea Olive (O. fragrans). 'San Jose' has thinner, more finely toothed leaves, and more upright growth habit than other O. x fortunei clones. It bears fragrant white flowers in fall and is a fine landscape evergreen for sunny or semi-shady sites with average soil and good drainage. Both parent species are native to Asia.
