The Hibiscus 'Tosca' is a hybrid between the species H. paramutabilis and the familiar Rose of Sharon (H. syriacus). It is a relatively hardy deciduous shrub Hibiscus with ruffled orchid to magenta flowers with carmine eye that are larger than Rose of Sharon. This woody shrub Hibiscus is winter hardy outside in the Deep South and perhaps northward.
