Paper Bush

This medium size deciduous coarse shrub has simple leaves 6-8 inches long and of a blueish color. This suckering shrub is related to Daphne and Dirca.  It produces clusters of interesting clusters of tubular yellow flowers on ends of naked stems in early spring. It has somewhat of a tropical appearance and should be planted in rich moist but well drained soil in shade or semi shade.
