Nantucket Serviceberry
A rare low-growing, thicket forming stoloniferous shrub which occurs on sandy soils in sun. . Mid spring white flowers have shorter petals than most Shadbushes. Edible red fruits like other Shadbush species. We are indebted to Richard Lynch of Sweetbay Magnolia Bioreserve on Staten Island, NY for our original stock of these rare plants. Native to northeastern U.S. coastal areas.
