Aucuba chinensis

Chinese Aucuba
This Chinese relative of the common Japanese Aucuba is a rare plant perhaps first offered in U.S. by Woodlanders. It is an evergreen shrub with broad coarsely toothed leaves with a few yellow dots. Possibly not as cold hardy as the Japanese species. Use it in shady or semi-shady spots with good soil that is moist but well-drained.
