Star of Mikan Passionflower
'Amethyst' is a beautiful red-purple flowered hybrid passionflower with reflexed petals and three lobed foliage. Parentage is somewhat uncertain. This vine is perennial and freezes to ground here in South Carolina but returns with vigor and flowers most of summer. An attractive passionflower with striking flowers that can be grown on a fence or trellis in sunny spot with good soil that is well-drained.
