This deciduous pinnate leaf shrub from Argentina similar to the more familiar, yellow-flowered Tecoma stans except the flowers are red. It appears to be tender. We offer these thanks to fellow explorer Tony Avent. Seed we collected in Argentina did not come up. The related Tecoma stans is a popular drought tolerant and showy flowering shrub in the Southwest U.S. and in Florida.
