Ardisia crenata
Coralberry
A low shrub with a single stem like a little tree. glossy dark green leaves with wavy edges. Small pink flowers in spring followed by clusters of persistent bright red fruit. A very ornamental plant for the southern garden where it will self-seed in moist shady situations. It also makes an attractive container plant. It is native to eastern Asia but has naturalized and become invasive in some places in Florida.
