MARCH IS FINAL MONTH OF SHIPPING - OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULED
For almost 30 years we have shipped a very diverse selection of plants to a worldwide clientele. Our shipping season has always been October through March. This may be your last chance to obtain many of the rare plants offered by Woodlanders as the economic situation and our failure to find a buyer for the nursery may mean that this could be our last shipping season.
We do not ship beyond March as we are located in the Deep South and spring comes very early here. Plants come into active growth and are vulnerable to mechanical or freeze damage in transit or freezing temperatures in colder destinations. We urge our customers in colder regions to request shipment while plants are still dormant. Dormant plants can be re-potted and held in a garage or other protected environment until it is possible to plant them in the garden. We expect to welcome many of you to our annual OPEN HOUSE the week of April 24 through May 1. Only during this 8 day period do we offer plants on a cash and carry basis. A large selection of choice plants will be available. Aiken is a major horticultural destination and we will look forward to having many of you visit Aiken and Woodlanders.
